Job For A Cowboy's upcoming new album titled "Gloom"

These guys are back with more visceral technical death metal mayhem. The new album entitled Gloom is a lot different than their previous, which was called Ruination.

Gloom currently has 4 tracks and it's still an EP prototype, which means the songs' title, lyrics etc. can still be changed upon official release. The new album features various ear-deafening, screeching low growls, the ultimate blast beat drumming, and the monstrous riffs from the guitar as well as the deepening soul riffs from the bass.

Jon "The Charn" Rice stated that the band are super stoked on this new EP, as stated during this interview with  SICK DRUMMER MAGAZINE, "We're all super stoked on this new ep we have coming out called 'Gloom', We've had quite a few lineup changes over the past 6 months so we wanted to go into the studio to see how we all meshed musically. Initially we had the idea for the ep to be a bit slower but it turned out to be some of our fastest material to date. Check it out

Personally, this new album is not as brutal as the previous one, but it sure is a lot faster and the materials themselves meshed perfectly.

I'll give it a 8/10, the reason is I'm still looking forward for more songs on this EP, who knows, this new album already has the potential to blow people's mind, but it's still lacking the brutality that Ruination brought. Nonetheless, it's still a kick-ass album.

Here's a preview of one of their songs from their new EP:

Mutated Goonch (Catfish) Becomes Human Predator

Since 1998 till 2007, 3 people have missing suddenly in the Great Kali River, a river flowing between  the border of Nepal and North India. This event is so weird 'cause the area isn't a habitat for alligators or other predators.
Last time - from a witness who saw the occurance - a little child was seen dragged into the river by what it looks like a long pig. After that, there were no signs of the victim, including the attire which he/she was wearing.

The weird events and cases compelled British Biologist - Jeremy Wade - to investigate what's been happening beneath the river. Reason is, the attacks only occur in one area, along the riverbed which is approximately 6 to 8 km long. That area, according to the locals, is a site where they usually drown the bodies of their relatives after they'd been burned.

After investigating using depth-measuring apparatuses, he made sure there were no holes found within the riverbank, so that means, the attacks didn't happen because of water turbulence.

Not long after the investigation, about 1 km from the last attack site, an ox which was drinking from the river which has a depth of 1m, was attacked and dragged by something which has emerged from the water.

"Whatever managed to drag that ox must have weigh about 90 to 140 kilograms," stated Wade on July 29th 2010. During the investigation, he found a goonch catfish, a relative to the catfish which has a length of 1 meter. However, they failed to catch the fish. Further investigations stated that they've found a group of them and 6 of them are as big as an adult human.

Failed to catch the fish using a fishing rod, Wade tried to fool the fish by using some wood and assembled them as if they were rafts used for the drowning ceremony. It was successful.

A goonch catfish which has the lenght of 1,8 meters and weighing 75,5 kilograms, or 3 times the weight of other goonch, was successfully caught. This fish was thought to be large enough and strong enough to eat the little child, but wasn't enough to attack and drag the ox.

Wade concluded that the catfish had been mutating to grow fond of human flesh. It also grew to that humongous size due to the constant consumption of human flesh which had been drowned during the ceremonial burial.

But wait, if that fish isn't big enough to attack the ox, then what could had had attacked the ox?. One thing's for sure though, the world is full of unsolved mysteries.

Dream Benders

I just noticed that I have the potential to be a Dream Bender. A Dream Bender is basically a person who can control his/her dreams depending on his/her needs.

What's a Dream?. Dreams are images, sounds and/or emotions that pass through the mind during sleep. Contents and purposes of dreams are not fully understood, though some sees dreams as a sign of something that's going to happen.

There are stages in which a dream are categorized. Ranging from a common dream or basically called REM (Rapid Eye Movement) to a point where a dream feels real - called Lucid Dreaming.

Now, the Lucid Dreaming part is the stage that I MOSTLY experience during my sleep. I don't know whether I walked during my sleep or not, point is, most of my dreams felt real and felt like I was runnin' the show.

Lucid Dreams , in simplest term, is when you feel, realize, and aware that YOU ARE DREAMING. Now, this stage of the dream is - in my opinion -  the most exciting stage of dreaming. Like I said, in Lucid Dreaming, YOU ARE THE BOSS. Lucid Dreams can be controlled the way you want it. This stage of the dream is quite rare, because most people just don't bother to know nor try to have dreams when they're asleep.Lucid Dreams are easy to obtain in just 3 simple steps. Just do this before going to sleep, mmmmkay?

  • Try not to get too exhausted during the day. Exhaustion will hinder the brain to initiate the dream since there aren't enough energy to be used for Lucid Dreaming.
  • Before going to sleep, give your brain some beta-Carotene or Caffeine. These are important nutrition for them, since they provide the necessary energy and chemicals to produce the Lucid Dreams. Bananas and Coffees are the main source for this 2 chemicals
  • Don't sleep too late. If you sleep above 12 or more, it's gonna be hard for your brain to initiate the Lucid Dream.
I've tried this 3 simple steps for 2 days and it's been working ever since. You'll feel a lot better when you wake up and you'll obviously feel more refreshed than your standard dreams

Most Graphic Demanding Games

It's the 21st century and the developers behind every modern-day, next-gen games have been rising and proving their names ever since. Here are some of the games which I have and played that requires top-end gears and rigs for them to run smoothly:

  • Crysis and Crysis Warhead: The Turkish brothers from Crytek made their debut in next-gen PC gaming with the new release of Crysis. A game that tells the story of a nano-genetically enhanced character wearing a nano-suit that is task with eliminating a group of terrorist operating in an isolated island. However, little does he know, the island has been overrun by aliens. This game has obviously the most demanding graphic ever created in the history of gaming. It uses the Crytek engine to push the latest graphic cards or VGA cards to their limits. When I first played the game, even with all the good VGAs, Power Supply, and Chipset - I'm still unable to play the game at Ultra Setting or even Very High setting.
  • Need For Speed Pro Street: EA's first legal racing game that was based on the illegal street racing of Need For Speed. This game was my first graphic demanding racing game before I bought Race Driver: Grid. Yes, it has basically the same story as Crysis. I was still unable to reach Very High setting and when a crash occurs, it lags.
  • Empire Total War: This installment from the award-winning Total War series caught my attention and most of my time when I first bought it. Since I like strategy games, I was eager to get my hands on this one. But woah guys, this game requires the latest graphic card to run at Ultra without lag. I was able to reach that setting, however, everytime my artillery batteries fire, it lags and the smoke from the musket also caused the lag.
  • Napoleon Total War: Same story as Empire Total War. Only this one was a sad story. I was only able to play at High Settings due to the ground and soft particles effect which had been applied within the game. You see, each time a unit moves, walks, or runs, they make this cool dust trail -- which causes lag.
  • Dawn Of War 2 and Chaos Rising: This game doesn't have any problem until a huge, maddening explosion occur. Artillery Barrage and Orbital Bombardment mostly cause the lag each time I use that ability.

Dawn Of War 2: Tyranid Invasion

Ok, so this game is basically the first of the Dawn of War 2 series. It's a lot different  than the previous Dawn Of War titles such as Dark Crusade and Soulstorm. I'm gonna go through this game based on the core differences that you can see and feel when you play it.

  1. Graphics: The graphic in Dawn Of War 2 is obviously the first and foremost thing which you'll encounter as soon as you begin the game. You see, it has glow and glints as well as reflections. Relic - the developer of the game - created and utilized the Essence Engine 2.0 to deliver great cinematic visuals, detailed graphics and special effects. The result is a staggering, 3D brutal graphic that lets you feel the intensity and savage combat. To me, I was pretty impressed when I first started playing the campaign. However, since it utilizes the new Direct X 9.C and Direct X 10, this game requires an above-the-average rig or system Below that, well - you can say goodbye to it. Yes, with the new Essence 2.0 Engine, I'd like to categorize this game into the Most Graphic Demanding Game  category.
  2. Gameplay: The gameplay in Dawn Of War 2 is also the 2nd obvious thing which you'll encounter. This new installation doesn't focus nor bores you with the boring "base-building" non-sense that any RTS genre mostly use - in my opinion obviously. Dawn Of War 2 puts you straight in to the heat of action. Yes, it focuses more on squad leveling and pure, brutal, head-on action. The ONLY base which you can utilize is the HQ of each race, and that structure will be your main producer. The game also has a Campaign section. The campaign section focuses on the struggle of the Space Marine chapter - Blood Ravens - in their fight to save sub-sector Aurelia from the Tyranids who invades and strips whole worlds of life forms. You will be pitted against untold thousands with only a handful of squads under your command - 4 squads only. Fight and upgrade them as they progress through levels and equip them with the all-new WARGEAR feature that has been added into this new installation.
  3. Multiplayer: Like any other modern day RTS games, Dawn Of War 2 supports multiplayer battles via LAN and Broadband via the GAMES FOR WINDOWS LIVE software which comes along with the game. Taunt and prove that you're worth to be respected and feared by other people across the glove.
  4. Wargear: Dawn Of War 2 has added a brand-new and fun feature into the game. You can't level up and upgrade without the aid of the brand new wargear feature. This feature lets you equip your squads with unique and strong wargears which you get as a reward for completing certain quest and defense missions. Wargears also can be looted from fallen foes, Bosses or even supply crates. There are plenty of wargears ranging from the rank of Common to Epic. However, you will and always find and earn only a handful of these gadgets out of the entire hundreds. Some sites offers you a Mod which lets you get all the wargear, however, this mod only works with the original retail of the game, either from STEAM or GAMES FOR WINDOWS LIVE.  If you're planning to buy or download the pirated copy of it, just bid farewell to that mod.
So, in conclusion here's a summary of the game in my opinion:
  •  PROS: Beautiful graphic, intense and brutal combat - both ranged and meele -, kick-ass meele sync-kill animation, pretty decent gameplay, the wargear feature is what compels you to explore the map for hidden wargears which can make your squad stronger and more durable. Good storyline and dialogues between each squad.
  • CONS: The missions are repetitive, both quest and defend missions. The next-gen graphic is very demanding, the campaign gets boring since it only focuses on the Blood Ravens chapter of the Space Marines' struggle to save Aurelia. The lines for each dialogue most of the time sounded monotone.
Overall, this game deserves a score of 8/10. Relic and THQ should add other Races' campaign and improve the awkward lines in the dialogue.
